Anyone can shoot the game, convert the file and upload to the website. A parent, coach, assistant...VBK also has videographers available.

Can there be multiple people videotaping games and practices?

You can capture video from multiple angle and viewpoints. The process for uploading videos is exactly the same.

What if the person shooting the game does not post the video in a timely fashion?

You can upload the video whenever you want. There is no time frame in which the video has to be posted.

Does VBK Sports Viewer provide any training or suggested tips on best practices for shooting video?

We provide a How-To-Guide regarding certain elements to consider when using a camcorder to get the best results. Additionally, we host an Internet based training session, which provides a comprehensive overview for our users. It is not difficult to video tape a game or practice.

How do you upload a video?

First you download the video from your camera to your computer similarly to You Tube or other uploads. A free conversion tool will be utilized to compress and convert the video. Then you simply login to VBK and upload the video to your account. Once the video is uploaded you can play and start using is immediately. It's quick and easy.

How long does it take to upload a video?

It depends on the length of the video, recording quality and connection. For a one hour video the standard upload time is approximately 30 minutes.

Is there an upload time difference from a High Definition camera and non-High Definition?

High Definition cameras record at a higher quality and with an improved quality comes more time to process and upload. It takes approximately 15% more time to upload High Definition videos.

Do I need certain software on my computer to upload videos?

NO. VBK provides the compression/conversion tool which is drag and drop. Very easy to use. And uploading the video is the standard upload process as if you were grabbing and saving a file on your PC. No additional software is needed.

Does each participate receive a user name and password?

Everyone that uses VBK will be given an secure login User ID and Password: coaches, players, managers, trainers, mentors and individuals.

How many passwords does a subscriber receive to share his videos/clips?

Coaches can share videos with a trusted source mentor and players can share videos with their friends and family. The person that is given the right to login and view games, clips, photos, will need Internet access.

How many people can view your clips - (i.e.) grandparents, friends?

A great feature about VBK is that players can share games or specifically cut clips of games with friends, family, scouts, or other interested parties.

How many videos can I store?

A team license has 10-Gigabyte of storage for your use. Storage for a combination of clips, team concepts, etc. you can also save about 8 to 9 games on-line as well. When the game is no longer needed, simply delete that game; all clips and associated materials will be retained. The game is the only thing that gets deleted. By deleting games you make room for new games to be upload. Remember, the standard process in downloading from your camera is to save the video to you PC or a local hard drive so before you upload a copy of that game or practice, it's always saved to where you did the download.

What is a mentor?

A trusted source that the coach may want to use to view certain games/practices and provide feedback for the coach to review.

How is a Mentor selected?

A mentor is assigned by the coach.

How do I send videos to the mentor?

The coach supplies the mentor with a login by email to the teams secession of VBK.

Is there a charge to use or add a Mentor?

No.

Can my coach review my clips?

Yes. The Coach has full access to everyone's information within VBK.

Can I view other teams clips?

No. Login is only for your team's use.

What is a web coach?

Like a mentor; a trusted resource the coach identifies to assist him break down a game.

How do you edit clips?

Using the Edit Suit in VBK. Open a game or practice and create a mini video that lasts a few seconds that outlines good or bad play which players have access to view and gain a complete understanding on how to repeat good movement and correct bad.

Is there a limit on the number of edited clips?

No.

Is there a video tutorial on how to upload videos, edit clips, use the entire system?

Yes.

Does VBK have an E-Practice Library?

Yes. Coaches can build complete practice plans for the day, week, month or year. They can present videos of each drill so players will have a complete understanding of the practice before they start. This eliminates unnecessary time the coach spends instructing players on how to run each drill. The player knows the drills and practice plan hours or days before.

Does VBK have a Sports Library?

Yes. A detailed sports library for Hockey is available now with other sports coming soon.

Can Associations build their own Sports Library to strengthen the position of their Association?

Yes. Coaches can share team concepts and video clips with other coaches in the Association. To help other coaches improve the instruction of their teams. Associations can then take the best clips and create a packet of tools and videos to hand to their coaches every season. This is part of Association Mentoring.
